NERC POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION AVAILABLE
Copepod sex ratio dynamics: the role of predators and food
Dr Andrew Hirst & Dr Cathy Lucas
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to investigate sex ratios in marine pelagic copepods. The position will include field work and laboratory experimentation. The research position is available within the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London and is funded by NERC. There will be frequent travel to work with collaborators at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton.
Candidates for this position should have a PhD in marine plankton, preferably with experience in algal or zooplankton culture. Experience with gelationous zooplankton and copepod experimentation would be an advantage. If you are interested we would be happy to hear from you.
This is a full-time, fixed term post available for three years. The salary is in the range of
£30,079 - £35,355 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1999.
